Description

The Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Capitel San Rocco di Tedeschi was born in vineyards located on the gentle hills of Mezzane and Tregnago, in the heart of Pedemonte di Valpolicella.

It is produced 30% with Corvina grapes, 30% with Corvinone grapes, 30% with Rondinella grapes and 10% with Rossignola, Oseleta, Negrara and Dindarella grapes, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C for about 8-10 days. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for 1-2 years and for a further 6 months in bottle.

It is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with elegant hints of cherry, enriched with fresh notes of raspberry and black currant. On the palate it is pleasantly fruity, warm and round, with a balanced and structured body. The wine has a long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany game and red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
