Valtellina Superiore Inferno DOCG Carlo Negri 2018 Nino Negri
Description
Inferno Carlo Negri was born in the vineyards of the Nino Negri company, in the famous DOCG area of Valtellina Superiore, in Lombardy.
This wine is produced entirely with Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) grapes, harvested by hand when fully ripe at the end of October. Maceration lasts about 8 days. After a stop in steel, the wine is left to evolve for 24 months in oak barrels before being bottled.
Inferno Carlo Negri has a purple color. The nose is of good complexity and well pronounced, with strong notes of bitter spices such as cloves and cinnamon and with a withered floral scent of rose and violet. In the mouth it has a great personality, with a good softness and a balance that will refine with time becoming harmonious and elegant.
Well combines with roast meat and game. Find perfect pairing matches in aged cheeses.
