Description

This Loibner Riesling, marked as Smaragd, is among the highest and most valuable expressions of the Knoll winery, born from grapes from the terraced vineyards with the best sun exposure in the Wachau region, one of the most suitable for the production of Riesling of the whole Lower Austria.

This pure Riesling is made exclusively in excellent vintages. The harvest takes place exclusively by hand once the grapes are fully ripe, after which they follow natural fermentation and aging in large wooden barrels.

Straw yellow with abundant greenish reflections, this prestigious white offers clear fruity hints on the nose that go from orange peel to yellow peach to finish with a strong quince tone. On the palate it is fresh, mineral and creamy, characterized by an extraordinary elegance and persistence.

Pleasant in the company of poultry dishes and white meats in general, it divinely accompanies trays of goat cheeses and citrus-based desserts.
