The Tenuta del Buonamico is located in Montecarlo di Toscana, in the Cercatoia area, and was born from the intuition of famous Turin restaurateurs in the early 1960s. Its name refers to a curiosity, a family habit: it alludes to the wine flask that Enzo and Ciro Grassi of the Al Gatto Nero restaurant, the place that first hosted the tasting of the estate's wines, used to taste. That fiasco is the "Buonamico", friend of the dishes served on the table. Owned by the Fontana family since 2008, today the estate consists of more than 100 hectares of property, of which 45 are planted with vineyards.
A place where the passion for viticulture meets design and the most elegant form of architecture, the cellar has recently been enlarged and renovated to accommodate a production of fine and exclusive wines, in order to guarantee the maximum quality result while respecting the land and tradition. Among these, the Blue Label (90 pt James Suckling) certainly stands out , a wine resulting from a complex blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the elegant and refined Cuveé Particolare . Very soft pink color, it releases fruity aromas of black cherry, raspberry and strawberry on the nose, which immediately turn towards floral tones of dog rose. Fresh and highly drinkable, it offers a stretch of evident elegance since its perlage, minute and persistent .
