From the nickname of the founder Giuseppe Bologna, the Piedmontese company Braida was born in 1961 in Rocchetta Tanaro, in the province of Asti.
The main terroirs, which extend from Monferrato to the Langhe, include the fine Bricco dell'Uccellone and Montebruna crus, from which the Barbera-based labels of the same name .

The revaluation of this grape variety, for years almost unknown, took place precisely by Giuseppe, who, stimulated by Luigi Veronelli, succeeded in transforming Barbera from acid and lively wine, into an important, complex and long-lasting nectar that refines, for the first time, in French oak barriques.

Today the company is in the hands of the third generation Bologna, with Raffaella and Giuseppe who, with love and enthusiasm, produce excellent quality wines with the selection of the most suitable wine areas; among these, the symbolic wines of the company, the Bricco dell'Uccellone, awarded for two consecutive years, the Super Three Stars Veronelli, and Barbera La Monella , so called by tradition because selected in the cellar among the most rebellious Barbera barrels and exuberant, which was therefore recognized for its characteristic and irrepressible sparkling.
