Brunello di Montalcino

Produced in Montalcino, in the province of Siena, Brunello is considered one of the finest Italian reds , also thanks to its ability to withstand long aging , improving over time. It is difficult to say how old this wine improves in the bottle, as this also depends on the vintage. It ranges from a minimum of 10 years up to 30 , but it can be kept even longer. The elegance and harmonious body of the wine allow combinations with highly structured and composite dishes such as red meats, game, structured cheeses. Furthermore, due to its characteristics, it can also be enjoyed as a meditation wine.

Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

Brunello di Montalcino can carry the term " Riserva " as a qualification if released for consumption after 1 January of the year following the end of six years , calculated considering the vintage of the harvest, without prejudice to the minimum of two years of aging in containers oak, but at least six months in bottle.

The Rosso di Montalcino

Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello's youngest wine , combines a superb structure with qualities of particular liveliness and freshness. It is a wine not of great structure but versatile in the food-wine pairing . Its characteristics are enhanced by the typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine with a frank and decisive taste but, equally, it can accompany and enhance medium-structured dishes, such as pasta dishes with meat sauce, poultry, mushrooms or truffles, composite risotto; second courses prepared with pork or veal with sauce.
