Located south of Lake Garda , in the small town of Rovizza di Sirmione, in the province of Brescia, the Ca 'Lojera winery has managed in a few years to become one of the reference realities of the Lugana DOC denomination. The name Ca 'Lojera, which in the local dialect stands for "Casa dei Lupi" , would refer to a legend according to which, during the years of the Serenissima Republic of Venice, some smugglers used to deposit the stolen goods inside the houses on the shore to the lake, to whose guard they placed whole packs of wolves.
Already appreciated by the BereBene Guide of Gambero Rosso for its excellent quality / price ratio, Ca 'Lojera produces Lugana from pure Turbiana grapes of excellent workmanship that surprise for refinement and longevity: structured, complex and elegant white wines, characterized by an almost minerality saline given by the white clays of which the terroir of Lake Garda is rich and with an acidity that makes them capable of sustaining long periods of aging - 24 months in steel for the Lugana Riserva del Lupo - which would put any other test to the test Italian white wine. Characteristics that have earned the Lugana di Ca 'Lojera the appreciation both locally and internationally, as well as the well-deserved nickname of " Lord of the Great Lake" .
