The passion for viticulture is ancient in the Giuratrabocchetti family and has been passed down through generations. It is from this tradition that, in 1998, the company Cantine del Notaio was born, when Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti, a graduate in Agricultural Sciences, along with his wife Marcella, took on the challenge of enhancing the Aglianico del Vulture grown in their own vineyards, combining tradition, innovation, history, and the culture of the region. Together with Professor Luigi Moio, a professor of Oenology at the University of Naples "Federico II", they deepened the research into the winemaking potential of this grape variety, the most important in Southern Italy, austere yet generous at the same time and capable of producing wines with extraordinary personality.
