Casalforte

The wines of the Castelforte line from Cantine Riondo are produced by one of the largest cooperative realities in Italy, which combines the passion of its contributing members, daily engaged in caring for over 6400 hectares of vineyard, with modern winemaking systems. 

Casalforte represents the most refined interpretation of the Venetian winemaking tradition. The line includes DOC and Venetian varietal wines, elegant and full-bodied that pair perfectly with the most complex and sophisticated dishes of Italian and international cuisine. The name is a tribute to the typical 'casali' present in many estates of the wine-growing members who skillfully care for their lands for countless generations with the tenacity and the passion that has always distinguished them. The flagship of the production is the Amarone della Valpolicella (96 pts Maroni), a wine of great body and structure, the result of the drying of Corvina and Rondinella grapes, it shows on the palate a taste of sour cherry, spicy notes of vanilla and coffee on the finish. Perfect for special occasions, it pairs with first courses with elaborate truffle or game sauces, braised meats, roasts and flavorful, well-aged hard cheeses.
