Unlike the grandes maisons, these producers oversee the grapes’ journey directly, from tending the vines to vinification, right through to bottling.

The “RM” (Récoltant Manipulant) designation, shown on the label, identifies winegrowers who vinify and market Champagnes made from grapes grown in their own vineyards. This production model highlights the characteristics of the terroir of Champagne, yielding cuvées with strong personality and often in more limited quantities.
