Born in 1960 thanks to a happy intuition of the Tricon family , Domaine de Vauroux extends over 40 hectares of vineyards, located in the immediate vicinity of the village of Chablis, between Paris and Dijon in northern Burgundy, in the heart of the appellation, on steep slopes kissed by the sun . Here, where a calcareous and marly soil, rich in Kimmeridge, forces the vine to seek deeper nourishment, Chardonnay is bred which, precisely from this particular composition of the soil, acquires all the characteristics of an authentic Chablis; a truly unmistakable wine, for its marked freshness, which recalls the stones and minerals, from which it acquires character . A complex and intriguing personality, like that of Chablis Premier Cru Montée de Tonnerre , a vigorous, powerful wine with a golden color and unforgettable flavor. Also very interesting is the Chablis from Domaine de Vauroux , with a full, powerful, lively sip, with a well-sculpted minerality and a pleasantly fresh finish.
