Josetta Saffirio 's wines are born in the Langhe . The company was founded in the early 1900s by Ernesto Saffirio, Josetta's father. Since the 1970s, Josetta, an agronomist, began to take care of the family vineyards and in 1985 the first Barolo was released.

Josetta is also the author of the company labels , in which the gnomes are the protagonists. They are considered the creatures that help farmers in the fields, taking care of the animals in exchange for a few skins of wine.
