Tokinoka
The Blended " Tokinoka ", which in Japanese literally means " the scent of time ", refers to the ancient Japanese traditions , bringing the mind back to the origins of oriental whiskey. The White Oak Distillery, located in the city of Hyogo, was in fact founded way back in 1888 , obtained Japan's first license for distillation and started making whiskey as early as 1919. " Tokinoka " is two Blended with a very high percentage of Single Malt Akashi , characterized by an extreme softness . It has a very fruity nose and is soft on the palate with a long, smooth finish and notes of honey and spices. " Tokinoka Black " is instead aged in three different types of barrels : American ex-Bourbon, European ex-Sherry and finally in new oak barrels. Elegant and complex , it moves between notes of red apple, tonka bean and vanilla. It has a velvety consistency and a finish rich in sensory nuances: honey, citrus fruits, cereals and dried fruit.
