Why was FIVI born?

Founded in 2008, the Italian Federation of Independent Winemakers (FIVI) represents almost 1,700 members with the aim of protecting the profession of the Winemaker, promoting its specificity and representing it before the institutions. FIVI collaborates with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Regions and community institutions in Brussels through CEVI (European Confederation of Independent Winemakers). By participating in rural development policies, FIVI proposes economic and regulatory measures in favor of winemakers and the Italian wine system.

Who are the Independent Winemakers?

The Independent Winemakers cultivate their own vineyards, make their own grapes into wine, bottle their own wine and take care of its sale personally, under their own responsibility, with their own name and label. These producers are engaged in every phase of the production process, constantly working to safeguard, protect and promote their territory.
