Picnic wines

La Pasquetta is the perfect opportunity to spend a day outdoors with friends and family, celebrating spring with a big barbecue. Traditionally, the menu varies between succulent grilled meats and fish, catering to all tastes. Sausages, ribs, steaks, and skewers alternate with sea bass, prawns, and squid, all seasoned with aromatic herbs and flavorful marinades.

To enhance the flavors of the barbecue, the choice of the right wine is essential. Young and fruity reds, such as a Chianti or a Barbera, pair perfectly with grilled red meats, thanks to their lively acidity and balanced tannins. If the menu includes white meat or pork, a structured rosé, such as a Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo or a Chiaretto del Garda, offers freshness and pleasantness. For grilled fish, the ideal choice falls on minerally and savory white wines, like a Vermentino or a Falanghina, which balance the smoky taste without overpowering it. In this way, every bite finds its perfect pairing, turning Pasquetta into a memorable tasting experience.
