The Kellerei Kaltern (Cantina di Caldaro) is the result of the merger between two of the historic cellars of the area: the Bauernkellerei (Farmer's Cellar) and the Jubiläumskellerei (Jubilee Cellar). There are almost a thousand winegrowers in Caldaro, most of them owning less than one hectare . Hence the founding and vital principle of producing in cooperation . The 400 members of Kaltern work a total vineyard area of 300 hectares and produce crystalline and pure wines , with a mineral skeleton and essential charm.
The range consists of a flagship Quintessenz line, which includes the award-winning Kalterersee Classico Superiore ; a selection made up of Sauvignon Stern, Gewürztraminer Campaner and Pinot Nero Saltner, as well as classic base varietal wines.
