Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC Brut Metodo Classico 2010 Stachlburg
Description
Spumante Brut Stachlburg was born in South Tyrol, from vineyards grown in organic farming, with great care for the territory and the environment.
The blend is mostly made up of Chardonnay and a small part of Pinot Blanc. The wine undergoes the second fermentation in the bottle, with the addition of sugar and yeasts, according to the Classic Method, and remains here for 36 months. This long time "sur lie", or on the lees, gives the sparkling wine its fullness and aromas and makes it perfect to be aged for another 4-6 years.
Stachlburg has a bright straw yellow color. The nose is complex and full, with soft notes of ripe fruit, enriched with vanilla tones and hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate it is soft, with persistent shades of tropical fruits. Overall it is an elegant, fresh and dry wine.
Perfect to accompany fresh appetizers, this sparkling wine is ideal in combination with sea fish.
