Description

What kind of wine it is

Gewürztraminer Nussbaumer by Cantina Tramin is a structured white wine produced in Alto Adige using exclusively Gewürztraminer grapes. Its expression is based on an intense and well-defined aromatic style where a carefully managed vinification highlights the varietal aromas. In the glass, it offers a distinct and spicy profile and faithfully expresses the characteristics of the grape variety.

Where it comes from

This white originates from the Nussbaumer vineyards in the locality of Serra in the municipality of Termeno sulla Strada del Vino. The cultivation takes place in a micro-zone of Alto Adige with pedoclimatic features ideal for enhancing the plant's quality. The identity of the wine is closely linked to its territorial origin and the historical vocation of these renowned South Tyrolean soils.

How it is produced

After harvest, the Gewürztraminer bunches undergo careful pressing followed by a brief period of maceration. The subsequent fermentation of the must occurs in stainless steel tanks at a strictly controlled temperature, typically kept between 18 and 20 °C. This targeted technical process ensures the utmost purity of the varietal aromas and aromatic integrity.

Tasting notes

In the glass it displays a bright straw yellow. On the nose, aromas of lychee, rose petals, and cinnamon blend with clear notes of ripe tropical fruit and cloves. The palate is distinctly aromatic and enlivened by a clear spicy component that balances smoothness and freshness, ensuring a tasting experience marked by remarkable precision of flavour.

Food pairings

Its intense aromatics make it a suitable choice for aperitif moments. At the table, it pairs successfully with seafood dishes, finding balance with shellfish dishes where its exotic sensations balance the natural flavours. It ensures easy drinking, enhancing fish recipes and confirming great gastronomic versatility.

When to serve it

It is the recommended label to enliven convivial gatherings, especially for those seeking a white wine with an intense profile. It expresses its potential best when served as an opener or during a seafood dinner, where the strong varietal character immediately stands out. It is an ideal choice for those who seek captivating aromas united with pronounced clarity of flavour.
