Barbaresco Asili DOCG 2014 Michele Chiarlo
Description
Michele Chiarlo's Barbaresco Asili was born in vineyards located in the homonymous Cru, in the heart of the Barbaresco DOCG.
It is obtained exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected by hand. Fermentation takes place in large oak vats at a controlled temperature of 27-30 ° C, for 15 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 18 months in oak barrels and in the bottle for at least 12 months, before being placed on the market.
This Barbaresco has a deep garnet red color. The nose opens with an elegant ethereal scent of red and purple fruits, enriched with spicy aromas of licorice and leather. On the palate it is broad and silky, with a pleasant persistence.
Excellent to accompany first courses with meat sauce and red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
