Description

The Barbera d'Alba by G.D. Vajra is a lively and fragrant red, a true expression of the Piedmontese grape variety. Sourced from various estate vineyards characterized by a variety of soils, it combines energy, freshness, and great drinkability.

The fermentations take place with long and delicate macerations, followed by aging for about 3 months in steel to preserve the fragrance and varietal character. Bottling occurs within a few months after harvest.

The color is bright purple; the nose opens with scents of violet, black cherries, blackberries, spices, and fresh lavender. On the palate, it is fragrant and fresh, with notes of strawberries, plum, black currant, and dark berries, enriched by herbal nuances and sweet hints of marzipan.

It pairs perfectly with flavorful first courses, white meats, cured meats, and fresh cheeses.
