Description

The prestigious Barsac Premier Grand Cru Classé from Château Coutet is produced in the Sauternes-Barsac appellation in Bordeaux. The wine is crafted from a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle, historic grape varieties of the region, able to express a refined, intense profile characterized by great natural freshness.

The grapes are harvested through successive passages in the vineyard, selecting berries affected by noble rot at the ideal moment of concentration. Vinification is aimed at preserving the aromatic complexity and balance of the fruit, with aging designed to integrate richness, structure, and finesse in an elegant and long-lived style.

On the nose, it reveals aromas of quince, fig, candied citrus, ginger, toasted notes, and hints of vanilla. On the palate it is powerful and complex, yet always supported by vibrant freshness that balances the sweetness and delivers depth, precision, and a long, persistent finish.

It pairs perfectly with foie gras, blue cheeses, dried fruit desserts, citrus tarts, and spicy poultry-based dishes.
