It originates from a single vineyard and has an intense profile, featuring material density and lively freshness. It comes from Bierzo, Spain, from a one-hectare vineyard with a southern exposure. The vines are over sixty years old and their roots sink into schist and clay soils, a combination that ensures a solid structural texture. The small size of the parcel and the approach based on low yields concentrate the fruit, defining a character that is faithful to its terroir of origin.
How it is made
After fermentation, the wine undergoes extended aging for sixteen to eighteen months in French oak barriques. This stage in wood is crucial for the development of taste richness, as it enhances complexity and encourages a final sense of balance.
