Description

Valtuille Vino de Villa is a red wine produced from selected plots in the village of Valtuille, particularly from cool areas such as La Rata, Mata los Pardos, and El Val. The vines, grown on a mixed soil of clay, sand, and stones, are over a hundred years old and yield high-quality grapes that produce a complex, elegant wine closely connected to its territory.

The harvest is manual, and once in the cellar, part of the grapes is left whole and fermented in large wooden vats with indigenous yeasts. Maceration lasts about 60 days with gravity-driven pump-overs. After racking and a brief rest, the wine ages for one year in used barrels before final blending and bottling.

It stands out for its intense aromas of wild berries, aromatic herbs, dried flowers, and an elegant mineral note. The palate is deep, balanced, and savoury, with a persistent finish that highlights the freshness of its origin.

It pairs well with game dishes, roasts, or mountain cuisine.
