Description

The Bolgheri Rosso Volpolo of Podere Sapaio is born in vineyards located in the territory that extends between Castagneto Carducci and Bibbona, in the heart of the extraordinary panorama of Bolgheri. Podere Sapaio wines thanks to their style and elegance are the perfect expression of the terroir.

It is produced 70% with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, 15% with Merlot grapes and 15% with Petit Verdot grapes, harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, with a long maceration on the skins. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for 14 months.

It is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with elegant blueberry aromas, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is soft and pleasantly savory. The wine has a balanced body and great freshness.

Perfect to accompany risotto, meat sauce and roasts, it is ideal in combination with stewed meats and aged cheeses.
