Description

Le Gonnare is a Bolgheri Rosso Superiore by Fabio Motta, born from a single plot located in the north-western part of the denomination, on clayey soils rich in skeleton. This soil favors a slow and progressive ripening, ideal for expressing the balance between power and finesse, particularly in the Merlot variety, which represents the main component of the blend.

The winemaking process involves manual harvesting in small crates, destemming and crushing, followed by spontaneous fermentation in non-glazed cement tanks. After natural malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for about 18 months in barriques, one quarter of which are new, with light toasting, before being bottled and left to rest for at least a year in the bottle.

On the nose, it stands out for its Mediterranean profile, where notes of ripe fruit blend with spicy nuances and light toasting. In the mouth, it is full, velvety, and deep, with a significant structure supported by balanced freshness and a long, elegant finish.

Perfect with grilled red meats, stewed wild boar, or savory dishes of the Tuscan tradition.
