Bolgheri Superiore DOC Levia Gravia 2014 Caccia al Piano
Description
The Bolgheri Superiore Levia Gravia di Caccia Al Piano was born in the homonymous estate located in the Livorno town of Castagneto Carducci, near the sea.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes, harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 3 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for about 20 months and for another 12 months in bottle before being released on the market.
Levia Gravia is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with an intense and fruity aroma, with pleasant hints of red fruits and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is rich, with a silky and elegant tannin.
Perfect in combination with game, it is ideal to accompany red meats and aged cheeses.
