Description

The Bolgheri Superiore Sapaio di Podere Sapaio is born in vineyards located in the territory that extends between Castagneto Carducci and Bibbona, in the heart of the extraordinary panorama of Bolgheri. Podere Sapaio wines thanks to their style and elegance are the perfect expression of the terroir.

It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 18 months and for further 10 months in bottle before being released on the market.

It is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with a bouquet of red fruits, with aromas of berries, plum and black currant. On the palate it is intense and round, pleasantly full-bodied and soft. The wine has velvety tannins.

Perfect to accompany dishes with meat sauce, risotto and game, it is ideal in combination with roasts, stewed meats and aged cheeses.
