Bourgogne AOC Pinot Noir Les Ursulines 2018 Jean-Claude Boisset
Description
It is in Burgundy that Pinot Noir finds the best conditions to thrive, especially in the areas of Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, expressions both collected on the label of Jean-Claude Boisset named Les Ursulines .
The Pinot Noir grapes that make up this elegant red come from very old vineyards and are harvested by hand around the first half of September. The must that reaches the vats exclusively by gravity macerates for 24 days and ferments using only indigenous yeasts. It ages for 8 months in steel and for a small part in French oak barrels.
Wine with a bright ruby color, it opens on intense aromas of berries and strawberries, supported by a delicious peppery texture. On the palate it is juicy and balanced, with pure velvet tannins.
Excellent on first courses and red meat dishes, it is recommended with game and lightly aged cheeses.
