Description

What kind of wine is it

Trento Extra Brut Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore by Ferrari is a white sparkling wine made using the Traditional Method, produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown in a single vineyard. The style is dry and elegant, with a structure built through bottle fermentation and long aging on the lees, leading to a harmonious and persistent tasting profile.

Where does it come from

It originates from the Maso Pianizza vineyard, located on the hills around Trento. This dedicated plot yields carefully selected grapes that express a pure character, true to the signature of Chardonnay and the identity of Trento.

How is it made

The Chardonnay grapes are selected and harvested around mid-September. The sparkling process follows the Traditional Method, with secondary fermentation in the bottle and maturation on selected lees for about ten years, a stage that plays a key role in shaping its aromatic complexity and fine texture.

Tasting notes

In the glass it has a bright straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose it is intense, with fruity notes typical of Chardonnay and hints of honey, vanilla, and white chocolate. On the palate it is elegant and harmonious, with a velvety body and a persistent finish recalling vanilla, acacia honey, and touches of hay.

Food pairing

It pairs well with appetizers and first courses, especially when the dishes are balanced and not overly spiced. It also shines with fish and shellfish dishes, where its dryness and lingering taste accompany the main ingredients without overpowering them.

Serving suggestions

It is suitable both as an aperitif and at the table, when you are looking for a dry, structured Traditional Method sparkling wine that can support multiple courses. The long aging on the lees preserves its harmony and persistence, making it a great choice for those seeking aromatic precision and continuity on the palate.
