Concha y Toro's Cabernet Sauvignon Don Melchor was born in the vineyards located in Puente Alto, in the heart of the Maipo Valley region, a prestigious and well-known area for the production of quality wines.
It is mainly produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, harvested entirely by hand between 22 April and 27 May. After the fermentation which takes place in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature, in wine it ages for about 15 months in French oak barrels.
Don Melchor wine is characterized by a very deep cherry red color. The nose opens with a refined and imposing fruity bouquet in which stand out sweet notes of black currant, enriched by pleasant hints of chocolate and tobacco on the finish. On the palate it is fresh, balanced and elegant. This red wine is characterized by soft tannins and a pleasantly persistent finish.
It is ideal to serve with tasty meat dishes such as grilled game or stewed meat stews with a side dish of potatoes and grilled vegetables.
