Description

The Champagne Edition Jönköping from Heidsieck & Co. Monopole is an elegant, mature Champagne, crafted from a blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay. The cuvée pays tribute to the ship Jönköping, sunk in the Baltic Sea while carrying a precious cargo intended for the Russian Imperial Court and found decades later in a state of extraordinary preservation.

Production follows the traditional method, with a second fermentation in the bottle and aging aimed at developing finesse, balance and aromatic complexity. The composition of the three grape varieties helps bring together structure, softness and freshness in a harmonious, refined style.

In the glass it shows a bright golden color with delicate amber highlights. On the nose, yellow plum, orange, mineral notes and biscuity nuances emerge, while on the palate it is fruity and delicate, with echoes of plum, apple blossom and a subtle mineral imprint; the finish is long, flavorful and elegant.

It is ideal as an aperitif and pairs with shellfish, fish and white meats.
