Description
The Chianti Classico Riserva of Villa a Sesta was born in vineyards located on the Sienese hills, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga.
It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested manually with sorting at the selection table and subsequently destemmed and crushed. Vinification takes place in vats at a controlled temperature of 27 ° C. The alcoholic fermentation lasts for about 7 - 10 days, then the maceration on the skins lasts for another 10 days. The wine then ages in oak barrels of the central French massif, medium toasting, for about 18 months, and once bottled it is refined for a further 9 months in the cellar.
This Chianti Classico Riserva is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with enveloping and sweet aromas of morello cherry and violet, enriched with shades of tobacco, vanilla, dark chocolate and Mediterranean spices. On the palate it expresses fullness and softness, taking up the rich sensations of ripe red fruits and spices suggested on the nose, balanced by finely toasted notes. Overall it is a wine of great elegance and richness.
Excellent in combination with rich first courses based on meat sauce and spiced sauces, it is ideal to accompany game and stewed meat. Also perfect with truffle dishes and aged cheeses.
