Description

The Chianti Classico Rignana was born in the vineyards of the homonymous farm, located in the territory of Panzano, in the heart of Greve in Chianti.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, harvested by hand towards the end of September. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of maximum 27 ° C for a duration of 21 days. The wine then matures in first and second passage oak barriques for 24 months before being bottled.

Rignana is a deep red wine. The nose has an intense and ample scent of red fruits, with pleasant spicy background notes. In the mouth it is very soft and with a pleasantly persistent aftertaste.

Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
