Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Riserva di Fizzano Famiglia Zingarelli from the Rocca delle Macìe winery is born in the heart of the Chianti Classico area.
It is primarily produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, harvested exclusively from the Fizzano estate. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures, after which the wine ages partly in French oak barrels for about 2 years, and partly in barriques for a few months. After blending, the wine ages for about 12 months in the bottle before being released for sale.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with an elegant bouquet of ripe berries, gifting a slightly aromatic finish. On the palate, it is warm, savory, and pleasantly persistent.
It is ideal to serve alongside first courses with meat ragù, and pairs perfectly with roasts and red meats accompanied by potatoes.
