Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG 2016 Castello di Farnetella

The Chianti Colli Senesi of Castello di Farnetella is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Sinalunga, in Farnetella, in the heart of the Chianti DOCG sub-area, Colli Senesi.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages for 8-12 months in barrels and for 3 months in bottle, before being put on the market.

The Chianti Colli Senesi of Castello di Farnetella has a ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose opens with evident aromas of red berries, enriched with notes of anise, sweet licorice and spices. On the palate it is balanced and soft, with velvety tannins that accompany towards a long finish of fruit and vanilla.

Perfect to accompany first courses and red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
