Description
The Chianti from Cantine da Vinci originates from the gentle Tuscan hills of Vinci, Cerreto Guidi, and the neighboring towns located in the province of Florence. The wine is a blend of grapes, although Sangiovese is the dominant variety.
The grapes are vinified in temperature-controlled steel tanks, where maceration lasts about 8 days. During the vinification, numerous pump-overs and delestage are performed for optimal extraction of aromas. Aging always takes place in tanks until the following March.
In the glass, it has an intense purple-red color. On the nose, it reveals fruity notes of cherry, with spicy hints, especially of black pepper. The taste is warm and structured, with noticeable yet fairly soft tannins.
This Chianti pairs well with rich appetizers of cured meats, pasta with meat sauces, roasts, and grilled red meats.
