Cinque Terre DOP Sciacchetrà 2014 Possa
Description
The Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà di Possa comes to life from vineyards located in the La Spezia municipality of Riomaggiore, in Liguria.
It is produced with Bosco grapes in clear prevalence, and with small additions of Rossese Bianco grapes and other indigenous varieties of the Ligurian region, harvested entirely by hand with careful selection of the best bunches in the vineyard, and dried until mid-November on special racks. Fermentation takes place spontaneously, with maceration on the skins for 28 days. Subsequently the wine ages in cherry wood barrels for about 12 months and is left to settle to reach the desired clarity, then bottled.
Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà di Possa is a sweet wine with an amber yellow color, dense and bright. The nose releases elegant aromas of peach, apricot and citrus. On the palate it is a fresh and full-bodied wine with persistent aromas.
Ideal to be enjoyed in the company of dry pastries and blue cheeses, it is also suitable as a sweet meditation wine.
