Description
The red wine Reomoro is produced by Cantina Truentum, a part of Cantine Nae, a young company that brings together wines produced in various regions of the Italian peninsula. Truentum was founded in 2020 in Abruzzo, in the Controguerra area, on the border with Marche.
It originates on the Colli Aprutini from native red grapes, with a small addition of Merlot grapes. The grapes are left to dry for 20 days before the fermentation process. Fermentation then takes place separately with a gentle pressing of the grapes. Maceration on the skins lasts for 2 weeks. The wine is aged for 3-4 months in French barrels.
Ruby red in color with violet hues, the nose reveals intense aromas of wild berries, plums, and cherries, enriched by notes of coffee and vanilla. The palate is warm, with soft tannins and good persistence.
It pairs well with pasta with meat ragù, beef carpaccio, and semi-mature cheeses.
