Description
What type of wine is it
The Ribolla Gialla from Ronco del Frassino is a white wine from the Venezia Giulia designation, bright straw yellow in color, with lively freshness and a pleasant mineral finish.
Where it comes from
It originates from the terraced vineyards of the Ronco del Frassino estate, located on the hills of Venezia Giulia; the so-called "ronchi", immersed in a wooded landscape with a strong presence of ash trees, from which the estate takes its name. The label is inspired by Oriolus oriolus, the golden oriole with vibrant yellow plumage that lives among the treetops, building its hammock-shaped nest between the forks of the ash tree’s highest branches.
How it is made
The Ribolla Gialla grapes are destemmed, crushed, and subjected to a gentle pressing. The must is then allowed to settle and filtered to achieve greater clarity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18°C, followed by maturation, also in steel.
Tasting notes
In the glass it shows a bright straw yellow. On the nose it releases elegant floral aromas enriched by delicate citrus notes. The palate is defined by lively freshness, finesse, and a pleasant mineral finish.
Food pairings
It is the ideal wine to accompany the aperitif, fried fish, delicate seafood appetizers, and vegetarian dishes.
When to serve it
Serve chilled, at 8-10°C: its freshness and mineral note make it perfect for light spring and summer meals; open shortly before serving.
