Collio DOC TiareMate 2013 Livon

Merlot TiareMate represents one of the Livon company's Gran Cru. This wine comes from the vineyards located in the DOC Collio, in Friuli, characterized by a very clayey soil.

It is entirely produced with Merlot grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand. After a soft destemming and subsequent fermentation on the skins at controlled temperature, the wine evolves for about 18 months in barriques, at a constant temperature of 20 ° C. After this period, bottling is carried out followed by a long period of aging in glass.

Merlot TiareMate has a garnet red color with purple textures. The nose offers a strong aroma of berries, above all raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. In the mouth it shows a good structure and a dry, harmonious and sapid taste. The finish is persistent and with delicate herbaceous sensations.

It goes well with demanding dishes such as grilled red meats and stewed meats. It is also ideal with aged cheeses.
