Description
What kind of wine is it
Miraval Rosé by Château Miraval is a rosé from Provence made from Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, and Syrah. The style is fresh and harmonious, with fine structure and softness reflecting its region. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats to preserve the primary aromas, while a small portion matures in oak barrels for added complexity. The blend expresses the Provencal coast and offers a balanced, versatile profile.
Where does it come from
This rosé is born in Provence, in the Côtes de Provence area, near the towns of Correns, Muriers, Longue, and Romarin.
How is it produced
The grapes are handpicked during the coolest hours of the morning, with a double selection to ensure quality. After harvest, all varieties undergo a short maceration, except the Syrah, which is obtained using the saignée method from free-run juice. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and a small part is aged in oak barrels, giving the wine added complexity and structure.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it appears pale pink, clear and bright, with light salmon hues. On the nose, orange peel and pink grapefruit emerge. On the palate, it offers immediate freshness, balanced sapidity, and a fresh, harmonious, and delicate taste, with hints of citrus.
Food pairings
Miraval Rosé pairs well with raw oysters and seafood, enhancing the freshness of the dishes. It is also ideal with seafood-based pasta such as linguine with clams and seafood risottos, as well as with shrimp and avocado salads. Among regional dishes, it accompanies Provençal bouillabaisse and ratatouille, while for Italian pairings, a Mediterranean seafood salad is recommended.
When to serve it
The balanced structure makes it perfect for enjoying young. Excellent as a summer aperitif or paired with light dishes, it also adds a touch of elegance to spring dinners.
