Description

What kind of wine it is

The Crémant de Bourgogne Prestige by Moillard is a sparkling wine made entirely from Chardonnay grapes and produced using the traditional method, with a second fermentation in the bottle. It has a fresh, floral profile, with fine, delicate bubbles that define its elegance. It’s a style designed for those seeking a refined mousse and a balanced palate.

Where it comes from

The grapes come from various areas of Burgundy, offering a range of terroirs. In Beaujolais the soils are granitic, with schist and veins of clay; on the Côte Chalonnaise they are calcareous and marly; in Epineuil limestone and Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils prevail. This diversity of soils contributes to the wine’s complexity and finesse.

How it is made

The Chardonnay clusters are pressed immediately with pneumatic presses, then the must is clarified by débourbage, the separation of solid sediments. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, followed by blending of the wines and the second fermentation in the bottle. The wine ages for 15 months on the lees, then it is placed on rotating racks and disgorged with the addition of the liqueur d'expédition.

Tasting notes

In appearance it is pale yellow with golden highlights, with fine bubbles and a persistent mousse. On the nose, delicate notes of white flowers, orange blossom and fresh brioche emerge. On the palate it stands out for its freshness, with floral aromas and notable aromatic persistence, where the fine, elegant bubbles accompany the entire sip.

Food pairings

It is ideal as an aperitif, but its versatility allows it to accompany the entire meal as well. It pairs well with delicate dishes where freshness and sparkle provide a counterpoint, and it enhances fruit-based desserts.

When to serve it

It is a wine suited to many occasions, from the opening toast to dinner with friends, and even the dessert course. It is a practical choice for those who want a sparkling wine capable of accompanying the whole evening.
