Description

What kind of wine is it?

Etna Rosso Feudo di Mezzo by Graci is an authentic wine, born from a blend of local grape varieties. Produced from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, it comes from vines grown in meticulously cared organic vineyards. The process involves fermentation in wood and a patient aging period. The result shows a well-bodied profile supported by a defined tannic structure and a pleasantly savory finish.

Where does it come from?

This wine has its roots in Arcurìa di Passopisciaro, a hamlet in the Catania area of Castiglione di Sicilia. The area is located on the historic slopes of Etna, a zone with unique volcanic geological conditions. The mention Feudo di Mezzo precisely identifies the origin of the grapes and anchors its distinct territorial character to a mountain viticultural context, offering unmistakable structure.

How is it made?

Production begins with the manual harvest of the grape clusters, picked to ensure their integrity. In the winery, the must ferments in oak vats, started by the action of native yeasts. To fully mature, the wine then rests for twenty-four months in oak barrels. After this careful aging, the final bottling takes place, sealing its complexity.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red color, enriched over time by hues tending to garnet. The nose is marked by intense fruity aromas, with evident notes of blackberry and blackcurrant, refreshed by floral hints of violet at the close. On the palate, it is deep, driven by a good tannic texture that carries the sip to the end, marked by a clearly savory note.

Food pairings

Thanks to its structure and depth, this wine is the ideal companion for braised meats and roast recipes. It also harmonizes perfectly with the flavors of mushroom risottos, as it supports the bold taste of game meat. Its excellent versatility extends to aged cheeses, whose savory notes blend with the elegance of the sip, enhancing the wine’s balance and savory character.

When to serve it

It is particularly recommended to accompany convivial moments at the table, especially during lunches or dinners featuring hearty recipes. Its unmistakable presence makes it the right choice for those who prefer a well-structured red with genuine territorial expression. An ideal glass when you seek a precisely defined finish, based on solid balance between aromatic intensity and density.
