Description

The Fixin Les Clos by La Maison Romane is a red wine from the upper part of the village of Fixin, in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy. The vineyard is located in the Climat “Les Clos,” at the entrance of the village, near Couchey, in a hilly area that benefits from a favorable exposure and a clay-limestone terroir, ideal for expressing the elegance of Pinot Noir.

The winemaking follows traditional Burgundian methods, with whole-cluster fermentation and aging in French oak barrels. This approach allows the preservation of the grape's varietal integrity, enriching it with complexity and depth without compromising the wine's natural balance.

It shows a bright ruby red appearance. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of cherry, small red fruits, and light floral and spicy notes. On the palate, it is harmonious and precise, with elegant tannins, good freshness, and a long, mineral finish that reflects the hilly and limestone nature of the vineyard.
