Description
What kind of wine it is
The Milledì is a Franciacorta Brut from Ferghettina made using the Traditional Method, obtained from 100% Chardonnay grapes. It is an elegant wine, a precise expression of its terroir and of the production method from which it is born.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from vineyards located on the gentle slopes of Adro, in the heart of Franciacorta. This hillside position shapes the wine’s profile and its territorial identity from the outset.
How it is made
The Chardonnay grapes are rigorously hand-picked around mid-August. After pressing, only the free-run must is placed in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, between sixteen and eighteen degrees, vinified separately for each vineyard. The following spring, the different wines obtained are assembled into a cuvée and bottled for the secondary fermentation according to the Traditional Method, with aging on the lees for a total of thirty-six months.
Tasting notes
The color is straw yellow, with green and golden highlights, accompanied by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose and palate, refined citrus notes emerge, enriched by balanced minerality. On the palate it is elegant, with a pleasantly long finish.
What to pair it with
Perfect as an aperitif, this Franciacorta is ideal with appetizers and fish and shellfish dishes, whether raw or cooked.
When to serve it
Serve chilled, at around 6-8°C, as an aperitif or to accompany the start of a fish-based meal. It is the ideal choice for convivial moments when you want an elegant, refined sip.
