Description

What kind of wine it is

Alma Assemblage by Bellavista is a Franciacorta Extra Brut that blends Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc. Made according to the strict rules of the Traditional Method, it offers a fresh, dynamic, and elegant style, with a mineral finish that keeps the sip well-defined. Its base is born from a delicate pressing of the first-run must, accompanied by partial maturation in oak barrels and skillful aging on the lees, which defines its gustatory precision.

Where it comes from

The grapes destined for this blend come from Bellavista’s most suitable plots, located in Franciacorta. The vineyards, characterized by vines with an average age of almost thirty years, guarantee a consistent raw material suitable for creating an Extra Brut version. This hilly area in Lombardy stands out for its careful viticulture, focused on selecting vineyard sites to ensure freshness, natural balance, and a clear mineral character in the wine.

How it is made

The manual harvest takes place between the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. The first-run must is extracted by gentle pressing to maintain aromatic purity. The secondary fermentation follows the practices of the Traditional Method and includes about thirty months of aging on the lees. A percentage of the base wines matures in oak barrels, while manual riddling completes a rigorous production cycle, essential for giving structure and a long-lasting perlage.

Tasting notes

This Franciacorta shows a brilliant yellow color, enlivened by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it develops a measured bouquet of Mediterranean flowers, enriched by clear citrus notes that lend clarity to the olfactory profile. On the palate, it is dynamic and displays a harmonious synergy between freshness and fruit maturity. The mineral finish is deep and dry, confirming the identity of the Extra Brut dosage and the acquired complexity.

Food pairings

Its liveliness and saline finish make this wine perfect as an aperitif and paired with delicate seafood dishes. It enhances shellfish and fresh cheeses, highlighting their soft textures. It also pairs beautifully with fish-based dishes, creating a balance between savoriness and fragrance. Its aromatic definition also supports seafood appetizers and flavorful carpaccios.

When to serve it

It is the ideal choice to accompany a formal aperitif or to open a seafood dinner, as it immediately refreshes the palate. Its aging makes it enjoyable when a structured profile with pleasant drinkability is desired. Suitable for both casual gatherings and elegant occasions, it gives its best when served well chilled. Low temperature enhances its citrus characters and saline tension, ensuring a precise and satisfying sip.
