Description
The Friuli Colli Orientali Sacrisassi Rosso of the Le Due Terre winery is born in vineyards located on top of a hill, on the road that connects Dolegna del Collio to the Prepotto, on the border with Slovenia.
It is produced with Schioppettino grapes and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in wood, without any addition of sulfur dioxide. Subsequently the wine ages for 22 months in barriques, before being bottled.
The Sacrisassi Rosso of the Le Due Terre winery is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with elegant herbaceous hints, enriched with notes of china, leather and chocolate. On the palate it is soft and silky, with a pleasantly persistent and spicy finish.
Perfect to accompany meat-based first courses, it is ideal in combination with stewed meats, roasts and game.
