Description
Friuli Colli Orientali Picolit from La Roncaia originates from vineyards in the municipality of Attimis, in the province of Udine. It is made exclusively from Picolit grapes, harvested at the end of October and left to dry for about 6 weeks.
The must ferments partly in new Allier oak barriques and partly in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. It then ages for 12 months in barrels and for another 6 months in glass before being released on the market. During these years of maturation, this sweet wine develops an aromatic component capable of evoking strong emotions.
Golden yellow to the eye, it releases elegant aromas of acacia honey and dried fruit. On the palate, it is delicate, full, and rightly sweet.
A sweet meditation wine, it pairs excellently with dry biscuits.
