Description

Cibolo Monastrell is a red wine produced in the region of Murcia, in southeastern Spain, from Monastrell grapes grown at altitudes between 600 and 900 meters. The vineyards, trained with trellis systems and supplemental irrigation, thrive on stony and very poor limestone soils, within a continental climate that limits yield, contributing to the concentration and quality of the fruit.

The winemaking process aims to preserve the varietal authenticity and the territorial character of Monastrell. The technical approach allows for a balanced and harmonious wine, faithfully representing the Murcian plateau. The intervention in the winery is minimal, intended to keep the aromas and natural freshness of the grapes intact.

In appearance, it reveals a ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose is filled with intense aromas of ripe red fruits, including cherries and plums, with a floral undertone. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, juicy, with well-balanced acidity and good persistence, making it pleasant and versatile.

Ideal pairings include rice dishes, unspiced white or red meats, semi-aged or soft cheeses.
