Description

The Nebbiolo from the La Spinetta winery is an interpretation of Langa that originates in the surroundings of the municipality of Neive.

The 100% Nebbiolo grapes are harvested manually from the Starderi vineyard, cultivated according to a sustainable agriculture method. This vineyard is located at an altitude of about 270 meters and covers an area of 15 hectares on limestone soil. The vines that populate it are aged between 19 and 22 and are arranged according to a South orientation. The alcoholic fermentation takes place inside steel tanks, while the malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels. In them, the wine ages for 12 months. Subsequently, it is transferred to steel containers, where it stays for a couple of months before being bottled without filtration. A final period of 12 months in the bottle completes the ageing.

It is presented in a ruby red colour, with a scent reminiscent of rose petals and berries. The taste is well balanced in the velvety tannic perception and freshness, with a good structure to support the sip.

To be combined with a beef stew with polenta.
